This is because allegedly AOL make it very easy for their customers to make complaints about legitimate ezine publishers, which can result in the publishers being accused of spamming. This can lead to the publishers being blacklisted and getting into trouble with their web hosts (and possibly even having their accounts terminated and their websites shut down).
Therefore we have decided that it is better not to accept AOL addresses
given the risk involved.
